Innovative concepts for protecting plant crops while generating electricity on arable land in Thuringia (Agri-PVThue)
The project comprises the concept development of a sustainable, large-scale agrivoltaic (APV) demonstration plant. The focus here is on matching the crops and crop rotations to a suitable PV technology while incorporating biodiversity measures. In addition, monitoring is to be implemented to evaluate the APV system. The evaluation will focus on the light conditions for the plants, shade tolerance, soil properties, temperature conditions between plants, PV modules and soil, water balance and water management as well as biodiversity.
