SNaPwürZ - Opportunities through digital innovation in on farm research and exact trials.
Agriculture is a dynamic field that requires constant adjustments-whether to changing climatic conditions, market demands, or societal expectations. These adjustments can include intensity of farming, crop rotation, farming methods, mechanization, or the introduction of completely innovative solutions. Although decisions are often forward-looking and uncertain, exact trials with statistical validation provide important insights. However, results may vary in practice, due in part to the specific conditions of each farm. Accompanying on-farm experiments, i.e., trials on one's own farm, can help.
This is where the SNaPwürZ project comes in. It aims to develop a digital toolbox and experimentation platform for on-farm experiments that enables farmers-both independently and in cooperation with consultants, researchers, companies, and colleagues-to efficiently investigate practice-relevant questions on their own farms. This toolbox will serve as a comprehensive assistant for planning, conducting and evaluating experiments.
